Convocation And Accreditation Ceremony

The Islamic College for Advanced Studies Jakarta (ICAS) had proudly performed the graduation procession of academic year 2011/2012 which was personally led by the ICAS Director, Prof Dr. Seyyed Ahmad Fazeli in Singosari Ballroom Sahid Jaya Hotel Jakarta, by Saturday November 12, 2011.

In this graduation ceremony, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Nasaruddin Umar, MA was present who was at once enthusiastically delivered a speech and appreciation to the graduates. In his inspirational speech the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs delivered some matters in respect of the ICAS strategic agenda in order to enable it to contribute in character building and national identity in accordance with the vision and mission of ICAS—upholding the Islamic value and Mysticism study as well as Islamic Philosophy. In connection with the aforesaid matter, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs also offered program cooperation in the framework of improving the character quality and national personality through education sector.

wisudawanLikewise, it was also present in the said opportunity an economist and moslem intellectual, Prof. Dr. Didik J. Rachbini, Chairman of Yayasan Wakaf Paramadina. He particularly delivered a scientific oration with the theme of “Establishing Islam Civilization in Indonesia from the Economic Perspective”.

The performance of graduation presenting by a number of great and qualified source speakers along with their several motivational thoughts delivered is hoped to enable the graduates to be inspiringly guided to the gate of more real academic dedication in the society and to encourage the student who are pursuing their studying activities in the ICAS.

In this 3rd graduation,  Islamic College for Advanced Studies Jakarta (ICAS) establishes cooperation with Paramadina University which was successfully passed 29 graduates of Magisterial Program of Islamic Sciences from two programs of study, and then 19 graduates from the study program of Islamic Philosophy and 10 graduates from the study program of Islamic Mysticism.

Graduation ceremony procession was also combined with the thanksgiving celebration performed upon the success of accreditation certification for the Magisterial Program of Islamic Sciences, Islamic College for Advanced Studies – Paramadina, in the University National Accreditation Board which successfully obtained an accreditation qualification under the score “B”.
